One of the goals of the project was to rig as much as possible. Originally I wanted a full 360 character rig without 3D elements, however, after realizing how slow the After Effects workflow had become, I decided that it was not worth the performance sacrifice. Looking back at it, I am thankful for this decision as I ended up underutilizing the rigged features anyway and the workflow was still painfully slow.
